Rupas Beach Hotel and Restaurant reviews
26 Large tidy room with AC and fan was everything we needed. Away from the noise of the Main Street and on the way to main point.
Sanjay (hotel manager) and Sudu (surf shop manager) are very warm, friendly and welcoming.
Food is also nice.
The short: great food, great staff, great location, and affordable room price. I stayed here for 5 nights everyone that works here is very friendly and accommodating. If you ask for anything they will make it happen they are always there to greet you and sometimes joke around. The location is right off the main surf spot and they have a surf board rental place on the premises with good quality boards (other rental places in the area do not have good quality boards) plus the guy that works there is super chill and nice. The location of the hotel is off the main strip so it’s quiet and there are adorable dogs that live here (Lion and Chocolate aka Choco) who protect the property from monkeys and other crazy dogs. The restaurant has good food especially the prawn curry and this place serves beer (not served everywhere). The only critical comment I have is that the rooms are really basic so don’t expect super high quality but hey I’ve stayed in worse. The price for this place? 20-30 USD a night which I think is a good deal. I would highly recommend.
Spent the night for the first time there. Only 5 meters to beach. Place is good and affordable. Restaurant is not yet functioning.
Great place to for kids and family has good food and drinks, relaxed vibe, yoga in the morning. Close to main point
We had to wait for over an hour and the food was not good. The staff were nice but didn't apologize or offer compensation for the late food. Just a bad experience.
Rupas is one of the Bay's oldest hotels. This well positioned but not so well managed place is closed in the winter season it seems. It has recently been renovated and seen a major expansion providing additional rooms, Now. End 2017 there are 30+ rooms
