I cannot praise this clinic more highly. On whim whilst holidaying in Sri Lanka I chose Skin Clinic for a consultation about changing/developing moles on my face and body. Ringing on Sunday 11 February 2024, I was pleased to be given an appointment for 11am the next day. The Skin Clinic staff were good English speakers and most helpful from the moment I stepped through the door. I was promptly seen. The doctor considered the moles I was worried about, relieving my fears and agreeing on a single excision, of a growth on my face. This would be followed by a biopsy and clinical report. I returned at 4.30pm the same day when Dr G Perera performed the procedure painlessly, quickly and efficiently. The wound was closed with two stitches and covered. I was asked to return in seven days for removal of stitches and check up. There was absolutely no problem in reaction to the treatment and I was advised that it had healed well. The wound is barely noticeable. The biopsy report was sent to me on WhatsApp by agreement, arriving on 27 February 2024. Confirming the presence of a nodular BCC, it is a matter next for discussion with my GP in England. I am so glad that I attended Skin Clinic. The experience was entirely positive. The total cost was approximately half the amount you would expect to pay for initial private consultation in London. There is, of course, no comparison with current NHS waiting times. I sincerely recommend Skin Clinic and wish to record my grateful appreciation of their services to me.

My experience with the Skin Clinic was not a delightful one. The doctor i consulted was friendly and this review is not related to her but about the clinic and it’s staff.

- the nurse directed me and my mother to a separate room in order to prep for a small procedure but there was another patient already present in this room. The nurse suggested we take off our clothes to apply the medication, to which I refused as I thought it was quite alarming and odd to not provide clients with the required basic privacy they need and is there is no such guidelines set in place. I suggested that we go one by one and the other step out while one person is inside, to which the nurse seemed irritated but agreed to when I explained how uncomfortable it would be for patients and didn’t seem like the most professional approach.

- The room the nurse took us to, did not have a bed or the right set up to apply this medication so most of the product was just wasted and didn’t serve the purpose. Also they only used 1 out of the 3 tubes I purchased & kept the rest which were. I took the new ones on my way out as I had already paid for all of them. If they only needed 1 tube why would the nurse make us by 3, it just didn’t seem right.

- The nurse would also severely discourage patients to not to do the full treatment in one day and to re-visit. Felt unethical almost and I wondered if it was so that they can once again charge Rs. 4,400 for consultation when the treatment could have been done in one go or were they sincerely concerned about our pain tolerance when didn’t even apply the prep cream adequately. I did suggest the nurse to apply the cream and that I would see how the treatment is fairing, then decide but she still chose to ignore and not go ahead with my request asking to come again.

- Even some of the areas that were marked for the treatment was not treated, they may have missed it but for around 45,000+ for both of us, I do not think it was fair or worth it as we didn’t get to complete the full treatment/procedure, hence now I have to go for a second treatment somewhere else to finish off the incomplete procedure.

- Aside from the above experience, I would suggest the management to look at maybe having the water dispensers cleaned as the nozzle was quite unhygienic.

I had laser therapy for excessive hair growth on legs. I have to mention that I'm very satisfied with the results. Also staff and receptionists are very polite and friendly. The service is really good. I would advise to use numbing cream from the 3rd session, because otherwise treatment is painful and difficult to tolerate the pain.

Currently I’m doing chemical peeling for my pimples at the skin clinic and I’m really happy about their service.

The staff here is very flexible and friendly. Excellent service, and one of the best dermatologists in the country. Dr Upendra is a kind and approachable man.

I did prp treatment here and the experience was very bad. The numbing cream did not work and I fainted during the procedure because of pain. And they did not have adequate emergency medicine either, not even dextrose. The receptionists are very welcoming and attentive but the treatment itself was very bad. They need to spend more time with quality care of the patients. I would not go there again.

I did hair transplant 7 months ago. Thought this is a well known standard hospital. No follow up given me after hair transplantation. How ever i managed to get 4 prp outside. I dont get adequate hair growth. It is a money looting place. Realy disspointed. I dont recommend anyone for doing hair transplantation here.

Get your skin treated at skin clinic.
I would rate skin clinic 8/10 whereas the other clinics I would rate them only 3/10.
The staff are really cooperative and flexible, polite and humble.
Personally I got my thread lifting treatment done here on April 2023 and my present appearance have gone back to 2017.

I have been taking botox injections for nearly 6 years from the skin clinic. The quality of the treatment was farely good from the beginning. But the quality started to drop down somewhere from the beginning of 2021 inspite of the increased rates. The effect of the injection wasn't there for atleast 2 months. As a result I stopped taking botox injections from the place since 2021. Over to the Management

Hit or miss. I've come here for consultation several times. There is one doctor whose prescriptions work really well. And another doctor whose prescriptions doesn't work at all. Sadly I found out about it the hard way

Skin clinic offers a vast array of cosmetology services and treatments. Their services are well organized and the venue is kept neat and clean as well. The doctors seem to be doing their job great. The consultancy fee is affordable too. Thumbs up

Dr. Upendra is a well experienced one on different skin issues. He has done some treatments by his own and some he directed to other doctors. Staff also friendly and overall its a good place to visit for almost all types of skin issues

Being someone that has been suffering from Strawberry skin, I approached Dr. Upendra on the hopes of treating it. He directed me towards getting Laser Hair removal treatments done. Although it's a painful procedure, the Doctors and the Nurses always took great care of me throughout the procedure. Particularly, Dr Ashirdhani, who was always in constant touch with me to see my progress. Her service and friendly demeanour has been the reason behind me always showing up on time for my treatment. Not only has my Strawberry skin reduced, I'm seeing a major improvement in my skin overall after following the guidelines the Doctors prescribed.
