The Farm Resorts

This place is a REAL SCAM! They try to appear as higher grade resort with their unrealistic high price but what is on offer is far below compared to similar priced resorts. No amenities in the room which are available in an ordinary hotel. They charge for the location I guess. But you find better places elsewhere. Except for butler Raju, no one else to recommend. Do not get fooled by reviews or images which were taken before covid. Think several times before you decide to go to this place.

Absolutely scenic location but that's not credit to Farm Resorts. Badly maintained rooms with basic amenities like tea and coffee and even mugs not provided. You would think they'd check before the guest arrived. Also ridiculously overpriced food considering it's a 3 star hotel. And miniscule portions. When you don't have air-conditioning to pay for why is are the rates so high? Other than for the breathtaking natural beauty it's mediocre at most

There is no reception for a regular check-in. The room would be nice and big with a phenomenal view of the reservoir. But in the gable there are open lamellas through which any number of vermin can enter: Many big round buzzing beetles and long grasshoppers. During the whole night we kept the light in the bathroom on so that the beetles wouldn't fly around our ears. There is no mosquito net. The room boy comes into the room with his street shoes. In the big bathroom there is no storage for toothbrush and other washing utensils.

It’s a quiet place. Tranquility at its best. Great food and the food is served outside at request. Kayaking and cycling available at extra cost. Recommend for those who love calm and quiet atmosphere.

Good location to relax and you can't have such a nice view from any other hotels in the area.
Raju's service is exceptional was trying to delight guests with his highest level of attention. Unfortunately the Manager Incharge (GM) learned he is a new guy, doesn't seems to be customer friendly person. Doesn't care customers and not even smiles with guests while at the restaurant.
This required to be corrected immediately to attract more repeating guests
Food doesn't have much of a variety but tasty.

Good place to stay and nice view around the location. You can rent a bike and do cycling around the Castlereigh reservior.
There are plenty of space in the Deluxe king rooms but the privacy is less. Because the curtains they used are see through.
Foods are average but you have to wait at least 30 minutes to get the order.

Located in a very scenic and peaceful place. Food is good. Rooms are nice and comfortable. There is room to improve the quality of rooms.

The property is facing the Castlereigh reservoir and the views are breathtaking.
Garden area is quite big and well kept.
There are only 8-9 rooms with two rooms in each chalet.
Rooms are spacious, adequately furnished and provided with television, minibar, tea/coffee making and ironing facilities.
The attached toilet is spacious and clean with good water pressure.
Staff is very friendly, attentive and courteous, specially our butler Raju.
Managers Madushan and Shadursha are equally cooperative.
Food needs to be improved in variety. But the chef is flexible to provide whatever you request in advance.
Other facilities include shallow water kayaking, cycling and body massage.
The beautiful Garmore waterfall is also located about 11/2 hours drive away.

All in all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who wishes to have a peaceful holiday away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The room rates are quite reasonable too.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff (Justin Fernando) was amazing. All of the staffs went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. Please Farm Resort give your staff (Justin Fernando) award for his exceptional room service provided during our stay in the hotel making everything comfortable! The staff at this property are all great! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Hatton Dickoya! They were extremely accommodating. Would definitely send a friend there to enjoy the nice surroundings, views and food! Thank you ️

Wonderful kids friendly place with a beautiful scenic view.spacious rooms with a cool and relaxing environment.friendly staff, special mention to raju who helped us whenever we needed help.only aspect they have to improve is food. Would be nice to have more varieties for meals.

A beautiful tranquil place to stay. Modern clean and spacious rooms, gorgeous views, fabulous food and excellent service! A great place to stay!

Good place with nice review of the reservoir. Also have a nice tea trail. Good was OK and staff was friendly.

Spacious rooms and free wifi for every chalet.
Stay at this place to soak up the beauty it has to offer, it's cool and relaxing. Landscaping is neatly done and adds to the beauty, picture perfect location
Food wasn't a strong point though. Anyway enjoyed the experience

We had a wonderful stay at this resort, the staff was extremely accommodating, they allowed us to check in early and that was a plus point. Every member we encountered from check in to cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help. Especially JUSTIN and RAJU. Two lovely people with beautiful hearts.
Few basic in-room amenities were missing but it was quickly fixed by them. Other than that we had the most amazing wonderful time at this spectacular location surrounded by breathtaking views. We will definitely visit again.

The view from there is wonderful and the customer service is really good. I would definitely recommend this place

Nice cool Place with very calm environment. Cottages type room having attractive view of castlrigh lake. Food and service good, but menu prices were mentioned dollar basis.

Has a beautiful scenes but it's a bit over priced for the facilities available. They are targetting foreigners mainly so everything is priced at USD. Rooms are nice and overlook the scenic Carsalreigh reservoir, neat and clean. However bathrooms are smaller than expected. One star less for the over priced restaurant menu and also the room charges.

Good location and helpful staff. Only problem is the food. It takes ages to come, so be careful if you are traveling with kids.

This place is simply the best! We fell in love with this property right at the entrance, where we were warmly welcomed by the very pleasant security officer at the entrance. The front office staff were so welcoming and the entire staff looked thrilled to have us around during our entire stay!
I have no words to explain the beauty of the view of castlereigh reservoir you'll get to see through the balcony of each chalet at this property. It's simply breathtaking and so dreamy that you could stare at it all day.
As a couple traveling with a baby, we needed help with preparing the baby meals, and the hotel was more than happy to help!
The meals were served Ala carte and they were delicious!
What made this stay memorable was the surrounding! The calmness and the serenity is just unexplainable. No matter whether you are a local or a foreigner, you'll be treated alike and at their best, with same respect, care and love.

Cheers to team Farm Resorts! We are definitely gonna re visit for a longer stay in future!

This is actually a really nice place. The views are amazing and the rooms are very clean. The service is amazing too, everyone was extremely nice. We kayaked and that was one of the best kayaking experiences I’ve had. Mahinda came with us in a seperate kayak to ensure our safety and took some really nice pictures. Ravindra was super helpful during the whole stay.
