The Farm Resorts

This place is a REAL SCAM! They try to appear as higher grade resort with their unrealistic high price but what is on offer is far below compared to similar priced resorts. No amenities in the room which are available in an ordinary hotel. They charge for the location I guess. But you find better places elsewhere. Except for butler Raju, no one else to recommend. Do not get fooled by reviews or images which were taken before covid. Think several times before you decide to go to this place.

Good place with nice review of the reservoir. Also have a nice tea trail. Good was OK and staff was friendly.

Spacious rooms and free wifi for every chalet.
Stay at this place to soak up the beauty it has to offer, it's cool and relaxing. Landscaping is neatly done and adds to the beauty, picture perfect location
Food wasn't a strong point though. Anyway enjoyed the experience

We had a wonderful stay at this resort, the staff was extremely accommodating, they allowed us to check in early and that was a plus point. Every member we encountered from check in to cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help. Especially JUSTIN and RAJU. Two lovely people with beautiful hearts.
Few basic in-room amenities were missing but it was quickly fixed by them. Other than that we had the most amazing wonderful time at this spectacular location surrounded by breathtaking views. We will definitely visit again.

The view from there is wonderful and the customer service is really good. I would definitely recommend this place

Spent splendid one night at the resort with a breathtaking view of the castlereagh reservoir. The location is spot on. From the arrival and throughout our stay the staff were really friendly and helpful.food was also tasty and special thanks to Justin who provides useful information to visitors. Really worth for money we spend.

The excellent location, delicious foods and friendly staff (Justin was very supportive and friendly). Rooms were very clean, spaces and amazing view of the Castlereagh Reservoir.

Nice cool Place with very calm environment. Cottages type room having attractive view of castlrigh lake. Food and service good, but menu prices were mentioned dollar basis.

Memorable stay

Our stay at The Farm Resorts were memorable. One of the best place. The Chalet we stayed was very nice view with castlereigh & more privacy. Food was Delicious. Specially we had real sri lankan breakfast with Delicious Curries & coconut sambol.and also Dinner was superb.served by Justin. He was very helpful, professional and polite. Thank you so much for your kind service justin. View of Environment with Castlereigh is Amazing. Very quite, carm and relax place.unfortunately we had to stay for only one day. Specially i would like to thanks Mr. Madushanth Kandaswami, Front office manager Who was helped to memorable stay. He handled everything very professionally and politely. Really Appreciate your kind service. Finally i like to say thank you so much again Madushanth, Justin, kitchen team & also everybody who helped to memorable our stay. I recommend The Farm Resorts for everyone who like to stay there.

Has a beautiful scenes but it's a bit over priced for the facilities available. They are targetting foreigners mainly so everything is priced at USD. Rooms are nice and overlook the scenic Carsalreigh reservoir, neat and clean. However bathrooms are smaller than expected. One star less for the over priced restaurant menu and also the room charges.

One of the most scenic stays we have taken in SriLanka.
Amidst the tea estates, hills and a lake!
We chose a stay in Hatton and skipped Nuwara Eliya (which is actually unskippable, most beautiful hill station in SriLanka) because of its proximity to Adams peak, since Adam Peak is very early morning trek.
The staff here was very friendly.
The location is very remote, so no outside options of food in walking distance.
The resort provides limited options in food. But the food is tasty. It can get costly if you like to snack every now and then and the food takes time to arrive since it is made as per order basis and not precooked to reduce wastage.
The resort has its own small veggies and flower garden.
You can relax on the lake side during evening and enjoy the quietness, it is 2 mins walk inside the resort.
Insects are part and parcel of this forest side resort, so be mentally prepared for that.
It can be the best relaxing place after a long Adams peak trek.

What I loved most about the resort was it's tranquility! We just stopped in for a meal and fell in love with it! Vowed that we would stay there on our next visit. The food was simple (because we wished to eat a local meal) but it was sumptuous! Had a look at the rooms.they were big & roomy, equipped with all the necessities and when you opened the curtains that covered the glass separation to the wide balcony you were awed with the scenery of the reservoir, so close you could almost be seated on it's banks. Beautuful! The service was very friendly.a must stay place!

Raju, Justin and the tall guy were VERY kind and always ready to help! We enjoyed the stay a lot. Rooms are nice and clean

Such a nice place with stunning views of the castlereigh reservoir. Great service elegant rooms with nice bathrooms. Had a great time here. Food is great too

- Wonderful located in the tea plantation near Hatton (you can see the tea ladies working by sitting on your balcony or just walking around on the resort)
- Stunning views on lake and super quiet
- Very clean and spacious rooms and bungalows
- Excellent food for breakfast and dinner!
- The main factor for my 5 star review was their stuff! The guys are super help full and friendly. While their manager Keith arranged everything outside of the resort (night trip to Adams Peak, drivers to cities, tea factory tours, bike rentals) our main point of contact Raju did an extremely great job to make our stay unforgettable (getting food orders on the room, arranging nice dinners or breakfast in their wonderful garden with view on the lake). He was always around and gave us the special feeling of attention. Our best stay in whole Sri Lanka and absolutely worth the money.

Traumhafte Lage am See. Vollkommene Ruhe. Unser Zimmer war erste Kategorie, man glaubt es kaum, mit abgegrenzter Glasdusche zum Bad! Zum Erholen nach Adam's Peak perfekt. Service superfreundlich aber das komplette Essen war kalt und Rice anderen Curry kalt geht einfach gar nicht.
