The perfect spot for vacation. Stayed here for two nights and just loved everything about this place! Would love to visit again!

Let me begin with saying this is a must have experience. Hotel is very accessible located on road leading to Castlereigh dam. Road is a little rough at the top of the lane but gets better so very accessible for even a car with low ground clearance like mine. So let me get to the pros and cons.

Property is surrounded by unprecedented views so you can walk around and enjoy
Walkways are well maintained and picturesque
Cons
Very hard to reach the reception, the main phone number wasn't answered and calls weren't returned for an entire day when we first called to reserve the hotel
Dialog tv had no foreign channels
Hot water was not properly working in the morning, had to take a shower in cold water while shivering
Understaffed. Looked like one staff had to attend the whole thing (he did a good job) so there didn't seem much coordination. We asked about kayaking but they didn't seem much interested in arranging.
They did not serve bread for dinner and breakfast which was a bit disappointing regardless, food was great.
Despite the cons I have given 5 stars since the experience was great and the cons won't harm enough to ruin the stay.

The property is facing the Castlereigh reservoir and the views are breathtaking.
Garden area is quite big and well kept.
There are only 8-9 rooms with two rooms in each chalet.
Rooms are spacious, adequately furnished and provided with television, minibar, tea/coffee making and ironing facilities.
The attached toilet is spacious and clean with good water pressure.
Staff is very friendly, attentive and courteous, specially our butler Raju.
Managers Madushan and Shadursha are equally cooperative.
Food needs to be improved in variety. But the chef is flexible to provide whatever you request in advance.
Other facilities include shallow water kayaking, cycling and body massage.
The beautiful Garmore waterfall is also located about 11/2 hours drive away.

All in all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who wishes to have a peaceful holiday away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The room rates are quite reasonable too.

One of the best stay! Love the location. They got extra activities inside the location like cayaking, cycling and spa.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff (Justin Fernando) was amazing. All of the staffs went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. Please Farm Resort give your staff (Justin Fernando) award for his exceptional room service provided during our stay in the hotel making everything comfortable! The staff at this property are all great! I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Hatton Dickoya! They were extremely accommodating. Would definitely send a friend there to enjoy the nice surroundings, views and food! Thank you ️

No words other than amazing! Every aspect of the resort was nothing short of amazing. The rooms were extremely clean, the food was super and the service was topnotch! Special mention to Madhushanth and Akram who took care of us during our stay and accommodated all our needs! Not to forget the rest of the friendly butlers, caretakers and maintenance persons! Will definitely be coming again for a relaxing holiday!

We stayed at the Farm for 2 nights and it was very nice, the view was breathtaking! And the room clean & well decorated. We were really feeling like into the nature. The breakfast was amazing but the food for the diner at the hotel restaurant was not special, wait was long and food was overpriced. The staff was very kind and Justin was reactive and helped us with everything.

We spent a fabulous weeked on this beautiful resort. It is one of the best places to have a relaxing time. The ambience, the food and hospitality were at top level. Raju was very nice and took care of us very well. Kayaking was the highlight of our stay. Hope to visit sometime again.

Exceptional views. Fabulous spaces. Spacious bedrooms. Very very friendly staff. The bathrooms are wonderful, clean and spacious. Child friendly but you may have to keep and eye. Got plenty of activities. They offer massage services and bicycle rentals. Also got a shallow water kayaking option as well. Got enough vehicle parking space. Also, please make sure to bring your essential grocery items as there are no grocery store or place to get essentials nearby.

Excellent location, services and view. The amalgamation of tea garden, a water reservoir and mountains at one single plc is what best describes the farm resort.

Absolutely scenic location but that's not credit to Farm Resorts. Badly maintained rooms with basic amenities like tea and coffee and even mugs not provided. You would think they'd check before the guest arrived. Also ridiculously overpriced food considering it's a 3 star hotel. And miniscule portions. When you don't have air-conditioning to pay for why is are the rates so high? Other than for the breathtaking natural beauty it's mediocre at most

Excellent place to relax and enjoy, surely one of the most beautiful places in Sri Lanka. Breathtaking Castlereigh reservoir and tall lavish green mountains, is what's seen from the bedroom. Extended balcony gives even a vivid view of the pleasing environment.tea bushes surround the entire chalets. Food, staff and the area to walk, ride bicycles.everything is just too good. Dont forget to meet the butler JUSTIN, and get his excellent services and also to try their Cheff to enjoy KOTHTHU. Ravi the GM is super friendly and very helpful. Really recommend the place, most of all their precautions to fight COVID risk too is remarkable. Highly recommend this property to enjoy a superb vacation for a very reasonable rate. Drive from Colombo is just over 3 hours.its well worth.
