Both service and food was abysmal. The staff wasn't very courteous.
Food took eons to reach the table. They kept missing the orders.
They took 40 mins for a glass of water

This place is a dirty dump that is falling apart. There is BLACK MOLD everywhere, including the towels, which is very dangerous to expose guests to. It will travel with you back to your homes and can cause serious health issues. There are currently rodents living in the roof of the upper bungalow. The carpets, furniture and every surface are caked with dirt. I even had a look at their laundry room and it is filthy. The staff is nice but highly incompetent. STAY AWAY.

The food was ok for a really hungry person. We accidently assumed they serve Halal food which is not. So even reluctantly i had to opt for "Fish" which to my surprise it was a Salmon Curry. Service is not upto standard. The bathroom was clean. Surrounding is very beautiful. Its a very old bungalow. Still needs some refurbishment.

We ordered 5 lime juice. However it is not at all even meet the lowest standard. I assume only they have used just one LIME for the entire 5 juices that we ordered. However the price was extremely high.

Overall its an expensive place. The price is not worth for what we get EXCEPT for the surrounding sceneries.

There was no continuous hot water supply in the wash rooms we were so desperate about that.we were freezing after having a shower.the people in the room next to ours were smoking and our room filled with that cigarette smell. Also fruits were not fresh. Otherwise the place is good beautiful surrounding stunning view

Though I haven't stayed overnight but on several occasion took lunch here while travelling along. Approach is a bit constricted and is through the Dickoya hospital. But once there, view of surrounding mountains is beautiful. On a clear day, one can see the 'Shripada'. Tea served here is excellent and the staff is courteous. Good place for a hop while one is travelling to or from Hatton.

Traditional architecture. Friendly staff. Limited menu. Poor quality food if not curry and rice.

If in the Maskeliya area this is one of the few options for accommodation. The inside of the bungalow has been semi renovated and the rooms are okay. For a colonial bungalow over 100 years old the grandeur of such a structure has not been captured. Rooms and food are acceptable for a overnight stay. The garden and outside areas are woefully neglected by its current owners

Food is okay, and service is satisfactory during daytime. But the place is mostly deserted at night. Went on on a Sunday around 9.00pm and after knocking for 10 minutes and calling their phone twice someone finally turned up. And guess what, instead of bringing the menu, he went to the kitchen to check what they had to serve. We had to be content with a plate of vegetable fried rice and deviled chicken.

If you are to take away food, you have to wait a long time and the food is not upto the expectation

Peaceful, Serene. It is an old bangalow built on the early 1900s. The place has great character and a beautiful view overlooking the distant lake and the tea plantation.

The garden could do with a bit of care and the building and rooms can do with a lot of TLC. The access is a bit ordinary as part of the road is also used by the hospital. The road is a bit rough.

The bathrooms are modern. Has hot water. Heating could be arranged.

The staff who served us were good.

The rooms are fair. The location is fair. It was all about the climate for me. We have Castlereigh reservoir, tea estates and mountains to keep an eye and to just relax with a nice cup of tea

Whenever, I travel to my hometown, stay here for a night or two. Located in a beautiful surrounding facing the Castlereigh reservoir and Adam's Peak. It's a nice place to stay. Breakfast is always good. To get good food, should place the order in advance. Service staff are all good. Not all services are readily available and thus you should not go in high expectations.

Beautiful property with a lot of potential.

Bungalow is owned and managed by BOC Ceybank and it is a very beautiful property situated in Dickoya, about 3 hours from Colombo.

Good place for a group. Food wasn't all that great. You can choose a variety of food from a standard menu.

It is one of the cheapest properties around the area and definitely worth a visit.

Location 5/5
Food 2/5
Rooms 3/5
Price 5/5

Past its high time but yet a great experience. Rooms are clean although a brush up would be needed. Clean bathroom. The warm atmosphere and the great staff made it a very pleasant experience after all.

Beautiful bungalow from 1906 nestled in tea plantations overlooking the lake and peaks beyond. Decent choice of food on the menu and a reasonably stocked bar. Spent just one night here but I will be back for more. Lots of opportunity to walk around the bungalow that is cut off from the very little town below.

Great place to stay. But because it is very close to Dikoya Hospital, the road to this place is very busy during hospital hours.
Rooms and bathrooms are very clean.
