Loving restaurant, authentic with one of the best curries so far on our trip. Fantastic view. It's worth a visit!

Amazing local restaurant with a lovely view over the fields. You could take as much as you wanted and everything was so fresh. The owners are the sweetest. Highly recommend if you want to taste real local food.

The food was simply delicious, for 2500 rupees you have a buffet of the best rice & curry with lots of varieties, plus you can get other food as many times as you want. Plus you have fruit and dessert at the end of the meal. Drinks are excluded. The place is a traditional wooden hut immersed in the countryside. Absolutely recommended, but don't plan anything after eating as you will be too full. They are also open for dinner from 6pm to 9pm.

Came here at 6pm and no guests were there. Obviosly we were too late and it's meant for Lunch till afternoon Not dinner.
The owner told us to come back an hour Later. When we did we realized they had cooked a complete dinner just for the 2 of us. 10 Different pots each one soo delicious. Everything Was homemade and it s a great Way to Support the people in town. One of the Best foods we had on our sri lanka Trip.

It’s a small place with a beautiful view on a paddy field. The was a huge variety of different curry toppings and rice. It’s a buffet, so you can take as much as you want. The host gave us different traditional desserts. Highly recommend this place

Beautiful scenery, absolutely lovely people, amazing food all vegetarian and packed with flavour I would definitely recommend this to anyone coming to Sri Lanka!

Our driver Raja took us to this local restaurant for lunch. Hard to find, off the road, looking out over rice fields. But what a delicious food! They prepared at least 13 dishes and presented it with the original produce in front of the bowl. You can see exactly what you are eating. Plates with lotus leaves, happy friendly people, great food, topped off with traditional desert curd with honey. Find it!

Incredible food, so much flavour. The setting is beautiful, feels proper traditional. All the people that serve/work/host/chef are so lovely.

Great vegetarian food with wonderful use of spices. About as natural an environment to eat is as is possible. Shame about the Coke drinks cooler although it adds an interesting dimension to its surroundings. Great proprietor. I loved it, but it's only for those who want to try new food in a totally non European environment. Also don't expect 'fine dining'. That's not what they are about. Its It's about the experience and the taste.

No words. Can‘t describe the joy we felt when we discovered this little heaven spot on the way from Sigirya. The family owned place serves you a multitude of small traditional and home cooked dishes: mango chutney, several salads, seasonal veggies in curry, juicy pumpkin, rice and the whole unlimited! Big plus: you can have cold beer while contemplating the wide rice fields. Last but not least, the hosts are adorable. I highly recommend it and please give it more credits. Thank you again! Z&FX

Excellent buffet serving authentic Sri Lankan food. A hidden gem close to the main road but a bit tricky to find. Owners are very nice and make you feel like at home. We recommend it for a true Sri Lankan experience overlooking rice fields.

If you want to have some excellent lunch you have to be to this place. What a lunch we had with them. It was awsome and the people who came with us was very satisfied with the food they served us. All the currys were cooked in clay pots and no any artificial flavors were add to those curries. This is a must visit place if you are coming to visit any places near Polonnaruwa area. The sole proprietor of the shop called Ajith Kumara was a very friendly person. And the prices of the food is very reasonable too.

Only the one place you should eat in polonnaruwa ancient city area real local lunch in sri Lanka you will get.

The owners are incredibly nice and the food is AMAZING! It was simply a great experience to dine there! 100% recommended!
