Cosy Restaurant reviews
69 W came here to have lunch while my bike was being serviced. WOW. It did not disappoint. The food was insanely good. We had butter chicken, chapatti, cashew rice, raithia and a sauce which came with the chapattis omg it was soooo good.
I highly recommend this place for food.
My taste buds are definitely satisfied after long time. First n foremost I'm starting from the person who took our order, friendly n funny. Kept his word n called us within 35 min. Got butter Naan, prawn curry (I requested Extra gravy) n chettinad panner. The prawn curry was out of the world. Best curry we had in years. This is our first time trying Cosy. Nailed it.
It's insane how many dishes and drinks are on the menu. The food was delicious and I wish I had time to try more options.
Food was good. But you have to wait sometime to get notice by a waiter. Even though family dining area seems less crowded they must have so many guys in the drinking section, it’s really hard to find a waiter.
There's nothing cosy about this place BUT the food is delicious and the service is good. They allow BYOB.
Their curries are delicious.
Located adjacent to the Sri Lankan Airlines office.
Great food and the jaffna crab curry was reasonable for the price. Taste was also great and the place is way bigger than expected from the outside. Overall great food and nice experience.
The food was truly delicious. I had paneer masala and cook/waiter was kind enough to listen to me re amount of spices so it was perfect. I have found this quite rare in other restaurants. My friends had excellent spicy sea food soup and excellent mutton curry.and on another occasion Nasi Gorang which they loved. I particularly liked the freshly made varieties of Naan breads.all in all wonderful food. The service was great we had a friendly very professional waiter. A little slow but that was OK.
Super Tasty Authentic Jaffna Crab curry. Biriyani was tasty too. Lassi was not so tasty. But overall it’s a good place for your authentic jaffna dish cravings
Food is tasty but somewhat expensive. Neat hostel. Good customer service.bar facility is also there
Food is very tasty and good service provided.nice arts and music in the background. I highly recommend to visit cozy restaurant
Tasty Indian Breads and non veg curries (Chiken, Mutton, and sea food) Available. Can bring liquor and beer from outside. Staff friendly.
We didn't sleep there but we ate twice there. The food was really good. A little more expansive than others hotels in Jaffna but worth it!
You can bring your own alcohol, next to it there is a liquor store that close at 9PM.
The place to eat in Jaffna
For me and my wife everything was perfect! Friendly stuff, nice atmosphere and the most importan, delicious crab! Thank you guys!
Delicious Indian food with friendly staff! Recommend to order soups first because the main dishes take about 40 minutes.
Supper place. Supper food items. Family and friends restaurant. I fist time visit here. Supper service. Oder not waiting. Quickly come foods. Super
Great food, moderately priced, nice atmosphere & byob.
The gravies are rich and delicious, we had: mushroom masala, paneer butter masala and Jaffna crab curry (soooo delicious) and butter naans (perfect)
As people say the seviced is slow (45mins) and probably gets slower as restaurant fills up.
You can byob which i suggest bringing a few beers to have while you wait.
We went on a friday evening 730 to 9pm and the later it got the more groups showed up and it got louder.
The prices are moderate 350-700 for curries and around 200 for naan, but its a nice atmosphere and amazing food.
For best experience: show up early, bring a beer or wine, sit on patio and order any of the Jaffna special curries.
Probably has the best restaurant in Jaffna
Bit of an unknown quantity to the outsider but the rooms are not bad for people on a budget
Get some Poori with a Malay Koftha. It's excellent and must be tried at least once your life.
It's a good 3 star hotel nice food as well and hotel services are moderate overall it's a good place to SP time in for a few days there is free WiFi also available here.
I personally found the food here to be quite good, but my Sri Lankan friends thought it was merely mediocre due to the absence of moringa leaves in the Jaffna curries. While the prices were slightly on the higher side compared to typical Jaffna rates, it's a pleasant spot to unwind. The courtyard is quite spacious, and the clientele comprises a diverse mix of locals and tourists.
Ordered chicken+egg soup and a chicken fried rice. Taste was good and the interior was welcoming. Prices were affordable but comparatively higher than other restaurants in jaffna with respect to quantity. One issue to be noted is the long waiting time!
