The Barnhouse Studio

It's one of the best places to have gathering and other ceremonial functions like wedding reception etc. Very calming environment and spacious garden. My daughter had her wedding at the Barnhouse studio, and that was amazing. The staff and managers are very helpful and specifically Mr. Sameer took this event as his own function. The location, meal, and hospitality are perfect. Thank you, Mr. Sameera and all the staff, including chefs and others.

Went there for a day-out with friends from university. Their package is worth for the money. They do have a pool and space to play sports like cricket and volleyball. The environment is calm and relaxing. Food is not the best but worthy for the price.

It was an extremely delightful experience to have our wedding at the barnhouse. Environment was very cosy and welcoming. Staff was super friendly. (Especially Mr. Mahela and Chef Kumara were so supportive) Food was exceptional. Thank you for all the wonderful memories.

One of the visitors has mentioned an unknown guy was peeping into the room and staff has not taken any adequate action regarding the matter. So i also do not recommend such a place to visit anyone.

For anyone who likes to have a change of venue from the traditional ballroom wedding, this place is the perfect location. From the rustic look to the amazing service, we had a lovely wedding and the decors made the place looks so beautiful. Highly recommending this place for anyone for your wedding.

Beautiful and unique place to celebrate your most valuable life events. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Specially Mr. Bhagya. Food also delicious. Well organized event management. Clean place. Only concern is restaurant service and room service. It is not in standards. Meals were delayed. No 24h room service. So don’t plan to stay in this place. Specially don’t spend your honeymoon in this place. But you can celebrate your golden days in this place with grand looking environment.

Used to be a good place to dine, but now it's worth the money you pay, Poor service and just regular non-delicious food.

We went for dinner here and they took (im not exaggerating) 2 hours to serve our food. 2 hours! The waiter had a very bad attitude and when asked why the food was late he was blaming us for ordering different dishes.

There were 8 of us and he brought the order at different intervals so those who got their food served, had to eat cold food because they were waiting till others were served food. The mixed meat platter had one meat missing and the waiter was again implying we probably ate it.
Of course by the 2nd hour all of us were annoyed and sleepy and a few words were exchanged with the waiter which was mainly brought by his attitude. We were annoyed, hungry and sleepy and had to eat cold food.
The manager and another fellow came and apologised for the whole fiasco in the end saying the waiter was a trainee. The waiter never apologised though.
Not to mention my parents 40th anniversary was ruined by this and we will never come again.

Good place. Went for a dayouting with friends. Tasty foods. Friendly staff. Love the greeny nature environment.

Went there for a office team outing. Place was good and had lot of space for playing and team activities.
But the food was terrible. It was very blank and dry.

We went there in mid july in a evening time weekday, Dull looking place, I assumed that because of the day we went kinda gloomy. Less crowded during weekdays. Their quality of the food has been downgraded drastically, but prices increased.

They need to improve the attitude of their cleaning staff or they will ruin everything. All the other staff members are trying their level best to serve the customers.superb location

The place itself is beautiful for sure, but I did feel there are practical issues in location and layout especially if using it for an event or wedding. Cos it's quite outdoorsy terrain and you can ruin good shoes there because there aren't pathways. The food is local, and placed in a rather difficult place to get to. But the decor and vibes were lovely.

Service was hopeless. Food was brought in more than half hour intervals. By the time the last plate came, all our plates were cold. Food was mediocre.

We planned our wedding for several months and decided to go for Barnhouse Studios because we wanted a rustic theme and a natural atmosphere. Pictures were so great and we were so happy to see almost every guest has updated their social media dp with a picture from that day. This is a bit underrated place but I believe it is for a reason too.

Our event coordinator was Maali, but along with her, every single staff member assisted us very much including Bhagya and Sahan without any hesitation. The event was PERFECT in every way thanks to these guys.

The buffet was really amazing and everyone liked the food and deserts there. And kudos to Maali who helped us to select the menu.

Finally the changing rooms, chalets, and the restaurant was so much clean and tidy. Nothing to complain about. I don't know what the management do to keep this place this way, but it is working tremendously. Looking forward to come again.

We had our wedding at this place. The location is very nature friendly. All our guests enjoyed the wedding saying this place has a different vibe. The rooms are enclosed. This totally has the barnhouse theme. Food is excellent.

We have ordered (takeaway) two portion rice from this selfish place. Unacceptable price since it's not enough for one person even. This is only suitable for photo shoot only not for the spend a day or dining as well. These types of places taking advantages from current crisis which is having on Sri Lanka. Very disappointed. Don't spent your money for takeaway foods from this greedy place.

Love the place and the staff is really friendly and supportive. The ambience that Barnhouse gives is something that we could find anywhere else in Sri Lanka.

As a venue it's a go to scenic location for wedding photography. The barn where the functions are held seats about 150 guests and the Aircon is very good. The seating is out of wooden barn chairs but are quite comfortable. The food is NOT great tasting at all. And the garden is quite hazardous for the elderly and ladies in high heels, as the ground is not even and with gravel it's quite easy to trip. There's no even walking path to the carpark from the barn. People I know have fallen flat on their face in the dark walking to their vehicles.
